We provide a dramatic approach to team building, creating workshops which challenge and enhance your event using a variety of techniques employed by professional actors in the rehearsal room. These workshops are all tailor made to suit your requirements and can have a specific focus on areas such as teamwork, presentation skills and speech training or even a combination of these areas.
An acting workshop is a great way to explore voice and speech techniques as well as physical presence and posture within the individual and as part of a team. Through games, improvisation and script work your team can build self-confidence and access their own creativity. Even a brief taste of being an actor can be a very relaxing and useful experience!
With a heavy emphasis on trust, co-operation and listening, the stage combat workshop is a fun, high energy team building experience, which enables participants to explore a variety of techniques used within the theatre industry. You can learn how to convincingly punch, hit or kick your colleagues (or boss!) without actually harming them. A great benefit to relieve the stresses of the workplace!
Learning a dance from the Tudor period is an ideal workshop activity whether you prefer the more stately dances of the Elizabethan court or an energetic, even boisterous, Morris dance. Although the actual steps of both are relatively simple, the dances rely on teamwork to achieve the formations making the activity perfect for team building as well as testing the brain cells and keeping you on your toes!
Learn to play the instruments used in the 16th c. and play a repertoire ranging from the stately music of the court to lively country tunes (or have fun trying to and making a lot of noise!) with a range of recorders and crumhorns unleash your inner Tudor Musician! You will be shown the dance moves of the day which will accompany your beautiful music perfectly. These ingredients together promise to be an engaging, creative and amusing workshop.
We offer a range of Shakespearean entertainments that add drama to your event. This can range from discrete waiters and waitresses appearing during dinner to a lively fight scene in full costume at the drinks reception. We provide the element of surprise and quality of entertainment that can transform any event and give your team something special to remember!
Playing harp and a variety of recorders, Mhairi Peters and Roxanne Bennis together are musical duo Palmer's Noise. Performing a broadly 16th c. repertoire ranging from the stately music of the court to lively country tunes, their music will enhance any function. They can also be booked to support any of the other workshops to give an added dimension to your experience.
We provide a range of presentation coaching options from on-site event speech and delivery training to specialist workshops for management teams. We can help you to improve your presentation skills both for internal use and in preparation for a major conference or event.

We had very positive feedback from our tour manager and the group. They thoroughly enjoyed your workshop and we appreciate you tailor made it to their level of understanding.
Our clients are often looking to balance a conference or meeting with an activity. Green Room workshops provide a really fun way of developing trust and awareness in a team situation. The great thing is that they can be tailored to a client’s needs.
The workshop was very different, good fun and with great ideas – easy to do in a short time yet we still took a lot away with us!
We love working with these guys. They are very professional and bring a strong element of fun and excitement to events they are involved with!
Thanks so much for your flexibility and engagement during the whole meeting. I was really impressed with the last exercise, which has been highlighted a few times to me now as one of the key learns!
Green Room's contribution to our team meeting in terms of energising the team, engaging them in unusual activities and tailoring the activities to fit within the meeting messaging was spot on. We would definitely recommend them for slightly quirky team engagement pieces for future meetings.
I booked a theatre workshop with Green Room for my clients from University of Houston this year. Emily and the team could not have been more helpful & accommodating, from securing a venue to offering a choice of subjects for the session. My group chose to work on ‘Directing An Ensemble’ which was very successful. There was a real buzz among the clients after the workshop! I would certainly recommend Green Room.
